Terms and Conditions for Thumbs Up Photography Workshops

1. Booking and Payment

  • Confirmation: Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of full payment through www.thumbsupphotography.co.uk.

  • Cancellation by Participant: * More than 4 weeks before the workshop: Full refund.

    • Less than 4 weeks before the workshop: 50% refund.

    • Less than 5 days before the workshop: No refund.

  • Cancellation by Thumbs Up Photography: In the unlikely event that a team member needs to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness or extreme weather), a full refund will be provided or an alternative date with that instructor will be offered.

2. Workshop Details

  • Instructors: Workshops are delivered by designated members of the Thumbs Up Photography team depending on the booking you make.

  • Location, Date, and Time: These details will be agreed upon between the participant and the assigned instructor after the booking is confirmed.

  • Duration: Please refer to the timing of the individual booking you make.

  • Inclusions: * Tuition with a Thumbs Up Photography team member.

    • Travel between shoot locations from a single agreed meeting point.

  • Exclusions: * Transportation to and from the initial meeting point.

    • Personal camera equipment, insurance, and refreshments.

3. Participant Responsibilities

  • Equipment: Participants are responsible for bringing their own camera, lenses, and a tripod (recommended).

  • Fitness and Safety: Participants should have a reasonable level of fitness for walking on potentially uneven terrain. Sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are required.

  • Conduct: Participants must follow the instructor’s safety guidelines at all times.

4. Image Rights and Copyright

  • Participant’s Images: Participants retain full copyright to the images they take during the workshop.

  • Promotional Images: The instructor or Thumbs Up Photography may take photographs during the session for promotional purposes. Participants will be informed and may decline to be photographed.

5. Liability

Thumbs Up Photography and its team members will take all reasonable care to ensure the safety of participants. However, neither the platform nor the individual instructor will be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained, except where caused by direct negligence. Participants are responsible for their own personal and equipment insurance.

6. Data Protection

Personal information is collected solely for organizing and delivering the workshop. Data will be handled in accordance with UK data protection laws and will be shared only with the specific team member leading your workshop.

7. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
